Committees

The Steering Committee

The Steering Committee compromises of parents of children involved in the Coolamon study and senior Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander staff involved in The Coolamon Study. This aim of the Steering Committee is to ensure successful delivery of the project including ensuring cultural considerations and approved methodology are followed.

The Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Advisory Committee

The Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Advisory Committee meet quarterly to provide overall guidance and advice for the Coolamon Study. This included ensuring appropriate Aboriginal involvement at all levels and promoting the opportunity for Aboriginal community engagement. Members of the advisory committee include parents of patients and clinicians, as well as Aboriginal investigators and PhD students involved in the Study.

The Investigator Committee

The Investigator Committee is chaired by the lead investigator and compromises all other investigators, associate investigators and PhD students. This Committee aims to meet at least six monthly over the duration of the study. These meetings are held to ensure the rigour and methodology of the study are sound, participant recruitment is achieved and that tangible outcome are being achieved.
